Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has stated that he is willing to serve as running mate to Peter Obi or any southern candidate chosen by his party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during a television interview, Kwankwaso said he remains committed to party decisions and the reported zoning arrangement favouring a southern presidential candidate.
According to him, unity and party supremacy should remain the priority as opposition groups continue consultations ahead of the next general elections.
His comments have since sparked reactions among supporters and political observers, with many seeing it as a possible sign of growing cooperation among opposition figures ahead of 2027.
