Fear of Floods, Disasters as NPRC Intensifies Emergency Preparedness Campaign in Adamawa

The North-East Team under the National Preparedness and Response Campaign (NPRC) 2026 has intensified disaster preparedness and awareness campaigns across communities in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.

The exercise focused on sensitising residents on emergency preparedness, early warning systems, and ways to reduce the impact of potential disasters.

Communities visited during the campaign include Makama, Mbamba, Angwan Tarbo, Shagari, Gbonronji, and Rimawa.

The campaign was carried out in collaboration with ADSEMA, Local Emergency Management Committees, and community leaders as part of efforts to strengthen resilience against possible emergencies and natural disasters in the state.
