Adamawa North senatorial race: Binta Masi Garba withdraws, declares support for Fintiri
Former Senator representing Adamawa North, Binta Masi Garba, has withdrawn from the 2027 senatorial contest and declared her support for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
She made the announcement on Wednesday at Baraza Hotel, Mararaba Mubi, saying the decision followed consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and her supporters across the senatorial district.
Garba, who earlier showed interest under the APC, said her withdrawal was in the interest of unity and continued development in Adamawa State. She praised Governor Fintiri’s leadership, especially in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, security, and social intervention programmes.
She urged her supporters across Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha to respect the decision and support a united political direction ahead of the 2027 elections.
Garba also appreciated the people of Adamawa North for the opportunity to serve as senator between 2015 and 2019, reaffirming her commitment to the progress of the zone.
