35-Year-Old Haske Declares for Adamawa Governorship, Unveils Development Agenda
A 35-year-old aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 Adamawa State governorship election.
The declaration took place at Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, where party leaders, traditional rulers, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state gathered.
Haske said his decision followed wide consultations and encouragement from residents, many of whom, he noted, are familiar with his humanitarian efforts through the AB Haske Foundation.
During the event, he unveiled a seven-point policy framework tagged “A.D.A.M.A.W.A FIRST,” which focuses on agriculture, infrastructure, social development, youth empowerment, governance, and security.
In his remarks, he commended the current administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for progress in key sectors, stating that his agenda would build on existing achievements.
He also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting ongoing economic reforms and reaffirming confidence in national leadership.
Outlining his plans, Haske proposed initiatives aimed at boosting agriculture, improving infrastructure, expanding education and healthcare, and promoting transparency in governance through digital systems.
