Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reiterated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to be the largest political party in sub-Saharan Africa.
The governor made this statement on October 6, 2025, while addressing members of the Protocol Sub-Committee ahead of the PDP National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State. He highlighted the party’s enduring strength and unity, calling on members to make sacrifices to ensure the success of the upcoming convention.
Fintiri also expressed his personal gratitude to the PDP, describing it as the association that has contributed significantly to his achievements in life, next to his faith in Islam.
The PDP is gearing up for its national convention scheduled for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, where party leaders will be elected to chart the party’s future course.
This statement reinforces the PDP’s position as a major political force in Nigeria and the sub-Saharan region.
