Christians in Adamawa State are angry and have warned they may take legal action against Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, the Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Their anger follows a Facebook post made by Ribadu, where he shared a picture showing a cross with the words “APC Christian Youth Adamawa State.”
Many Christian groups and individuals condemned the post, saying it was an attempt to mix religion with politics. They said it could create division among Christians and increase religious tension in the state.
Some Christian leaders have urged the APC to take quick action on the matter or risk being sued. They called the post “disrespectful to the Christian faith” and “offensive to public sensitivity.”
As of now, neither the APC nor Ribadu has officially responded to the complaints.
