Abuja, Nigeria — Senator Ishaku Abbo has submitted a formal written petition to the Nigerian Army, demanding transparency and accountability over what he described as the “deeply disgraceful conduct” of Lt. Col. Nwakama, the Commanding Officer of Michika Local Government Area in Adamawa State.
According to the senator, the petition follows an earlier electronic complaint he lodged with the military about a week ago. Abbo confirmed that the Army promptly responded by arresting the accused officer, an action he commended as a demonstration of commitment to discipline within the force.
In a statement issued from his desk and signed SIA, Abbo revealed that the petition was filed on his behalf by a team of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN). He emphasized his readiness to personally lead witnesses to the Army barracks if required during investigations.
“While deeply appreciating the prompt action taken by the Army in arresting the accused, we are confident that the Army will diligently investigate these allegations to determine whether he works alone or has collaborators,” the senator stated.
Senator Abbo reiterated his respect for the Nigerian Military, praising its sacrifices for national security, while calling for thorough investigations to uphold integrity within the ranks.
