A retired staff of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Mr. Philip Pwady Dingoli, is crying out for justice after more than a decade-long struggle to receive his rightful entitlements.
Mr. Dingoli’s case dates back to 2010 and was finally decided in his favor in 2024, when the court ordered the institution to pay all his pension arrears and gratuity. However, despite the clear judgement, he says the Rector of the institution has refused to implement the ruling, leaving him without pension and gratuity even after retirement.
The retired staff is appealing directly to the Minister of Education to intervene and rescue the institution from what he describes as leadership failure. He accuses the Rector of disregarding the law and court orders, stressing that this continued neglect is an injustice not only to him but also a threat to the credibility of public institutions.
In his message, he gave a 48-hour ultimatum for action, warning that more details will be revealed if nothing is done.
This case raises serious questions about accountability, respect for the rule of law, and the treatment of retired workers who have dedicated their years of service to the nation. Many believe justice must prevail, and the authorities should urgently step in to ensure that Mr. Dingoli receives what is lawfully his.
