Fintiri to Declare Senatorial Ambition in Mubi Amid Stakeholders’ Call
The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has officially accepted the call by stakeholders of Adamawa North Senatorial District to contest for a seat in the National Assembly.
According to a Government House press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor made the decision after wide consultations and in response to appeals from stakeholders across the zone, particularly the M5 axis — Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha.
He is expected to formally declare his intention on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, at the Government Lodge, Mubi, by 10:30am.
Governor Fintiri expressed appreciation to the people of Adamawa North for their support, describing them as resilient and committed to peace and development. He assured them of his continued dedication and pledged to serve with humility and responsibility.
