FG Declares Friday Public Holiday for Workers’ Day

The Federal Government has declared Friday a public holiday in commemoration of this year’s International Workers’ Day.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government, in a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.

In the message, the minister congratulated Nigerian workers and praised their dedication and contributions to national development, noting that their efforts remain vital to the country’s growth and progress.

He also encouraged workers to remain committed to their responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of patriotism, productivity, and diligence in achieving sustainable development.
