Adamawa Launches Recruitment of 5,000 Teachers from 18,000 Applicants

The Adamawa State Government has inaugurated a committee to oversee the recruitment of 5,000 teachers from over 18,000 applicants within a two-week deadline, as part of efforts to improve public education.
The exercise, led by the Ministry of Education, is aimed at addressing teacher shortages following increased school enrolment under the state’s free education policy. The Commissioner for Education, Umar Garba Pella, emphasized transparency, professionalism, and accountability, warning committee members against any form of irregularities during the process.
