The Adamawa State Government has approved ₦185 million for the purchase of residential houses for industrial court judges.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya, after the 17th Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House, Yola.

According to the Commissioner, the housing project will give judges a comfortable place to live and help them perform their duties more effectively. The contract was awarded to Fatima M. Mandara.

The Council also approved ₦125 million for consultancy services on the design and supervision of a new Civil Service Commission office block in Yola, as well as the renovation of the Adamawa State liaison office in Abuja. The project will be handled by Group One Dimension Ltd.

In addition, ₦200 million was approved as counterpart funding for the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria Project (SPIN). The initiative is expected to improve irrigation, renewable energy, and agricultural productivity in the state.

The Commissioner noted that these projects will not only strengthen the justice system and improve government facilities but also create opportunities for youth employment, boost energy supply, and support farmers across Adamawa.
