Kidnapped Victim Rescued by Police in Gombi, Adamawa State

The Adamawa State Police Command, working with local professional hunters, has successfully rescued a kidnapped victim during an operation carried out on August 25, 2025, in the mountains of Gombi Local Government Area.

According to the police, the rescue followed a joint operation based on credible intelligence. A team of officers from the Gombi Divisional Police Headquarters and professional hunters stormed a suspected kidnappers’ hideout deep in the bush.

When the kidnappers saw the police team, they opened fire, leading to a gun battle. However, the kidnappers were overpowered and forced to flee, leaving their victim behind.

The rescued victim has been identified as Isah Adamu, a 28-year-old man from Gurin town in Fufore LGA. He was found unharmed.

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the officers and hunters involved in the successful operation. He also assured the public that the police are actively working to arrest the fleeing suspects.

He has directed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command to take over the case and carry out a detailed investigation.

The Adamawa State Police Command has once again stated its commitment to protecting the lives and property of all residents in the state.
