Hoodlums Attack ADC–SDP Coalition Meeting in Kaduna

Hoodlums on Saturday attacked a coalition meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kaduna, injuring several participants and destroying property.

The meeting, which was reportedly linked to the coalition under the leadership of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was disrupted when the attackers invaded the venue. Vehicles parked outside had their windscreens shattered, while windows of the meeting hall were also damaged.

Eyewitnesses said many participants sustained injuries during the violence before security operatives eventually intervened.

Both Sahara Reporters and The Point confirmed the incident, with reports suggesting that the hoodlums may have been politically sponsored. However, this claim has not been officially verified.

As of the time of this report, neither the Kaduna State government nor the police had released an official statement on the attack.

This is a developing story.
