The Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ADSPHCDA) has announced the commencement of recruitment for Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs) across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
The recruitment is part of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency’s (NPHCDA) New Redesign of Community-Based Health Workers Programme aimed at strengthening the primary healthcare system in the state.
According to an official statement dated August 12, 2025, and signed by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Hajiya Binta Yusuf, qualified candidates must possess a valid certificate in Junior Community Health Extension Work from a recognized institution.
Interested applicants are to submit their applications to the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Local Government Primary Health Care Authority (PHCA) in any of the 21 LGAs. The application process is completely free and will run from August 12 to August 26, 2025.
The agency also noted that shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview dates via media platforms, the notice boards of the agency, and respective PHCAs.
