Former lawmaker Ishaku Abbo has informed his supporters and political aspirants that plans are underway to unveil a new political party ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a message addressed to his followers, Abbo explained that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) may not appear on the 2027 ballot due to ongoing legal proceedings. He noted that the timeline required to conclude the case at the Federal High Court, alongside expected legal processes at higher courts, makes participation uncertain.
He added that arrangements are being made for aspirants who had initially aligned with the ADC to transition into the new platform, particularly those contesting for Senate, House of Representatives, and State Assembly seats.
Abbo also highlighted key deadlines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), including May 10, 2026, for submission of party registers, and May 30, 2026, for party primaries.
According to him, the official unveiling of the new party is scheduled for May 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM, expressing confidence that the platform will play a significant role in the 2027 elections in Adamawa State.
